About Our School & Faith
Wellington Christian Academy (WCA), founded in 2003 by Bill Meridith, has been dedicated to providing quality Christian education to students in Sumner County, Kansas for over 20 years. What started as a small school with just four students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade has grown to serve 100 students in Preschool through 8th grade, with plans to expand further each year.
At WCA, our faith is at the heart of everything we do, answering a child's most important question of "Why?" Each day begins with Scripture, prayer, and a song, creating a Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to explore the world through the lens of their faith. Our curriculum integrates biblical principles across all subjects, and students engage in weekly Bible study and chapel services that deepen their spiritual growth. We believe in nurturing the whole child. In addition to a strong academic foundation, students are given opportunities to develop their creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness through classes like Spanish, Music, and Art. This holistic approach—rooted in faith—helps students grow not only in knowledge but also as well-rounded individuals, prepared to think, create, and live with purpose in all aspects of life.
We encourage an involved, family-like community, where parents are an integral part of the educational experience. At WCA, we view our school as an extension of the family, and we aim to create a nurturing, supportive environment where students can thrive academically and grow in their faith.
